Those who already have tickets in their hands are strongly advised to take a look at the helpful information provided below regarding upcoming events, ticket sales, security measures and rules of conduct at Championships competition venues.
SPORTS COMPETITIONS
- spectators are NOT required to show their passport to buy tickets;
- tickets bought online don’t have to be exchanged for paper ones; it will be enough to print them out;
- tickets are not individual; all spectators need is to show them at the entrance;
- ticket holders can use public transport for free on the day of competition. All they need to do is to show it to a bus attendant (including printed e-tickets);
- during the Championships the metro will be working until 1 o’clock in the morning;
- parking lots at sports venues are closed for personal vehicles (but drivers will be able to use 7 park-and-ride lots located near major shopping malls of Kazan for free); spectators are recommended to use public transport;
- competitions take place four sports venues – Kazan Arena Stadium, Aquatics Palace, Water Polo Arena, Kazanka Venue;
- each venue has an info desk and volunteers who are always ready to help;
- spectators are advised to arrive 30 minutes before the show to have enough time to go through the security stations and locate their seats;
- organisers recommend wearing comfortable clothes and flat shoes to move around sports venue;
- in the evening spectators are advised to wear warm clothes at outdoor venues – Kazan Arena Stadium, Water Polo Arena, Kazanka Venue;
- bringing liquids over 500ml, alcohol, chemical agents, guns and sharp objects is prohibited; prohibited items can be left in the lockers which will be available near security stations;
- kids aged 0-5 years are allowed to enter competitions for free; a separate seat is not provided;
- Kazan 2015 merchandise is available for purchase at each sports venue or at official gift shops.
PILGRIM SHOW
- tickets are not individual; all spectators need is to show them at the entrance;
- free public transportation is available with the purchase of a ticket for that day;
- the metro’s operating hours during the Championships are extended until 1 o’clock in the morning;
- the show is staged at the Tatneft Arena Sports Palace;
- premises of the Tatneft Arena Sports Palace are closed for personal vehicles, spectators are recommended to use Kazan’s public transport and 7 free park-and-ride lots;
- the show runs daily from July 26 to August 2;
- the show begins at 18:00; its duration is 2 hours 30 minutes;
- spectators are advised to arrive 30 minutes before the show to have enough time to go through the security stations and locate their seats;
- bringing liquids over 500ml, alcohol, chemical agents, guns and sharp objects is prohibited;
- prohibited items can be left in the lockers which will be available at the venue throughout the entire event.
FINA WATER WORLD PARK
- free admission;
- located near the Kazan Arena Stadium;
- open to the public daily from 12:00 to 22:00, July 24-August 16;
- admission to the Park is available through 2 security stations from Chistopolskaya Street and Prospekt Yamasheva Street;
- parking lot at the Kazan Arena Stadium is closed for personal vehicles (but drivers will be able to use 7 park-and-ride lots located near major shopping malls of Kazan for free); spectators are recommended to use public transport;
- for visitors’ convenience there will be special buses running between the FINA Water World Park and Kozya Sloboda metro station from 22:00 to 01:00, July 24-August 16;
- during the Championships the metro will be working until 1 o’clock in the morning.
