The Miss Championships Beauty and Talent Contest was held today at the FINA Water World Park. Fifteen girls went through a strict selection process and eventually fought for the title in an array of creative competitions. Only one of them was named as the most athletic, most graceful, most talented and most positive girl of the FINA Worlds 2015. The contest was held with the support of the Miss Tatarstan Public Organisation.

On the fifteenth day of the 16th FINA World Championships the athletes will contend for 6 sets of medals. Tomorrow’s night swimming fans will know the fastest 200m finishers in backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle, while water polo fans will find out the name of the new world champion in the women’s tournament.

Natsumi Hoshi earned the world title in the 200m butterfly final, finishing in 2:05.56. The victory was predictable. In the semifinal, the Japanese swimmer, who is also the London 2012 bronze medallist, showed the best time.

Ning Zetao emerged victorious in the 100m freestyle event finishing the race with a time of 47,48. He became the first Asian world champion in the 100m freestyle event at the FIAN World Championships. Ning Zetao was 0.11 seconds ahead of Cameron McEvoy, Pan-American Games title holder from Australia, who by the way was leading up until the final.

The fifth final heat has come to a close a few minutes ago at the 16th FINA World Championships in Kazan. Eight best swimming teams of the world competed for gold in the women’s 4x200m freestyle relay.
