Sabantuy brings together participants of FINA Worlds 2015

The Tatar folk festival Sabantuy was celebrated in Kazan in the Birch Grove of Mirny Township. These celebrations were also attended by participants of the 16th FINA World Championships.

One day of Athletes' Village life

The 16th FINA World Championships 2015 has already been lasting for 7 days. In total, the Athletes' Village has welcomed 2,435 athletes during the Championships. First departures have also already started: the athletes who finished their competitions are going to their home countries. At the moment, 2,291 athletes from 161 countries are staying at the Village.

FINA EXPO Pavilion reveals unique medals to the public

The other day new showpieces were exhibited at the FINA EXPO Pavilion. Visitors of the FINA Water World Park will be able to get acquainted with the 40-year-old sports memorabilia and legendary medals of the 1980 Olympic Games.

Life is buzzing in the Athletes' Village. Today a friendly volleyball match was played on the sports ground between the teams of the Village, athletes and officials of the 16th FINA World Championships. Also another momentous event took place in the Athletes' Village when a 2,015th athlete checked in.

Volga-Volga band excited about being part of FINA Worlds in Kazan

The previous day the Volga-Volga band performed on the main stage of the FINA Water World Park. The artists spiced up a bit the daily cultural programme by turning the area around the stage into a makeshift dance floor once the party got going. Anton Salakaev, the founder of this group and Kazan 2015 Ambassador, shared his expectations of this summer's most anticipated sporting event.
