The Aqua Comedy Club was held yesterday at the Basket Hall, Kazan. Residents of Comedy Club Russia blew the audience away with their sports-themed conceptual programme dedicated to the 16th FINA World Championships.

Humour reigned in the FINA Water World Park when the KVN (Club of the Funny and Inventive) Festival of the Republic of Tatarstan was held there the day before. 12 teams from Kazan, Cheboksary, Nizhnekamsk, Saransk created an unforgettable evening for all the visitors of the FINA Water World Park.

The In the Rhythm of the Championships Dance Festival took place today at the FINA Water World Park. The event was held in association with the U13 Dance Team. All dance enthusiasts were invited to perform on the main stage of the Park and were given a chance to show off their dancing skills to the public at large. Those who did not dare to exhibit their talents could witness this unique dance marathon from the standing area in front of the stage.

As part of the 16th FINA World Championships, the Executive Directorate for Sports Projects, the administration of Kazan and Sdvig Kazan Chamber Theatre present the second All-Russian Street Performers Festival Kulturniy Sdvig ('Cultural Shift').

The In the Rhythm of the Championships Dance Festival will be held at the FINA Water World Park on August 7 at 18:00. The event is held in association with the U13 Dance Team.

The Miss Championships Beauty and Talent Contest was held today at the FINA Water World Park. Fifteen girls went through a strict selection process and eventually fought for the title in an array of creative competitions. Only one of them was named as the most athletic, most graceful, most talented and most positive girl of the FINA Worlds 2015. The contest was held with the support of the Miss Tatarstan Public Organisation.

The Kazan Arena Stadium hosted today the Omega Media Race, an amateur swimming competition for media representatives. The event, organised by the Official FINA Partner, OMEGA, offered participants an opportunity to stand in the shoes of world champions and swim 50 metres in the pool that witnessed world records and epic aquatic victories.

Not only spectacular water polo matches of the 16th FINA World Championships stun the crowds every day. In breaks between the matches, cheerleaders support the athletes by putting on incredible shows. Whatever the weather, be heat or heavy rain, the sporty girls cheer up the stands with their lively dances.
