July 24 - August 9, 2015
The programme of the forum, which has taken place on the coast of the Azov Sea between September 19 and 24, 2014, featured three presentations of next year's international aquatics event. 200 participants of the Sports for All session learned about opportunities offered by the volunteer programme of the upcoming sporting event and also about how Kazan is getting ready to host the FINA World Championships. Boys and girls got to know what aquatics sports will be contested, what venues will be involved, how the cultural programme will be organised and also got themselves familiar with mascots, slogan and the visual look of the forthcoming sporting event. The presentations were hosted by Lead Manager of the Volunteer Department at the Executive Directorate for Sports Projects, Yulia Sinitzyna.
Among those who joined the Kazan 2015 volunteer recruitment campaign in the Rostov Oblast are old and reliable partners of the Executive Directorate for Sports Projects, namely the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports and Andrey Kravchenko, Head of the Volunteer Training Centre for the 16th FINA World Championships, Vice-President of the Russian Cheerleading Federation and Head of the Volunteer Sports Movement at the Russian Student Sports Union (RSSU), and his team. It's on their shoulders that the responsibility for recruiting and building the volunteer delegation rests. Apart from the Rostov Oblast, the Kazan 2015 OC has two more partner regions in the Southern Federal District: Astrakhan Oblast and Krasnodar Krai.
It should be noted that in September 2014, shortly after the Volunteers' Academy All-Russian Educational Camp, the organisers launched the third wave of the Learn Everything About FINA 2015 project: presentations of the 16th FINA World Championships have kicked off in higher education institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan and 20 partner regions. In addition, on 20 September 2014, applications opened for Kazan 2015 volunteer programme. The deadline for receipt of applications is January 1, 2015. As we reported earlier, the Organising Committee plans to recruit up to 2,500 volunteers from Kazan, Tatarstan, 20 partner regions and foreign countries.
