FINA 2015 Championships presented at Volga Federal District Youth Forum iVolga 2014

The Volga Federal District Youth Forum iVolga 2014 took place at the Festival Park (Lakes Mastryukovskie), Samara Oblast between June 18 and 28. The event was hosted by the Samara Oblast Government with the support from the Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Volga Federal District and the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs. The 16th FINA World Aquatics Championships were presented at one of the sites of the forum.

Three presentations at once were held on June 26 on the sidelines of the Technology of Kindness programme. The meetings were hosted by Alexander Karpov, Director of the Volunteer Department at the Executive Directorate for Sports Projects, and saw an attendance of more than 450 boys and girls from 14 regions of the Volga Federal District. The participants learned firsthand about the host city's preparations for the World Championships, sports to be played and the competition programme, sporting and non-sporting facilities, special features and surprises of the upcoming event and, of course, volunteer opportunities.
Is should be noted that the volunteer programme of the 16th FINA World Championships in Kazan is a project of international scale. The team of volunteers will include 2,500 people from Kazan and the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as from 20 regions of Russia, which act as non-profit partners for the official organisers of the FINA World Championships, and from foreign countries. Cooperation activities are currently underway with non-profit partners - except regional ministries and departments, these include 10 Tatarstan universities. Among the events carried out under this cooperation are the Learn Everything about FINA project, internships and sharing of experiences, information support.
Presentations of the Kazan 2015 championships are scheduled to be held at other major youth forums in 2014. In a short time the 16th FINA World Championships will be presented to participants of such youth events as Biryusa in Krasnoyarsk, Mashuk in Pyatigorsk, Seliger in Tver and others.
The iVolga forum is one of the largest federal youth events. The forum aims to create an environment for young people of the Volga Federal District to fulfill themselves, to teach them project management skills, to help them promote innovative ideas, to seek out, encourage, and provide financial support for gifted and talented youth. More than 2,000 young people from all regions of the Volga Federal District attended the forum. Delegates of the People's Republic of China were special guests at this year's edition. The forum's sessions included the following topics: Innovation and Technical Creativity, You are an Entrepreneur, Technology of Kindness, Politics and Student Self-Government, Information Flow, Run With Me, ART Square, Agriculture, Small Town - Big Ideas.
