Aqua Comedy Club show held in Kazan

On August 7, one of the largest halls of the city hosted the Aqua Comedy Club show. Among the major guests were such athletes as double Olympic diving champion and Kazan 2015 Ambassador Dmitry Sautin, former Russian professional boxer Nikolay Valuev, rhythmic gymnastics world champion Leysan Utyasheva. In the new exclusive show, prepared especially for the Championships cultural programme, the Comedy Club Russia residents made a special focus on Kazan, the host city of the ongoing sporting event.

They also threw some limelight on Dmitry Sautin, a famous Soviet and Russian diver who had earned 34 medals for his country’s collection over 16 years of his sports career. Ruslan Beliy invited the athlete onto the stage and handed him a small present from Comedy Club Russia, a personal Instagram account. “The country should know its heroes,” the stand-up comedian said.

In the Aqua Comedy Club show, which was developed especially for the World Championships, many numbers were dedicated to Russian athletes’ achievements at the World Championships: unbeatable synchronised swimmers, swimming record holders, fearless high divers. The Comedy Club residents staged sparkling jokes about all the sports presented at the FINA Worlds.
