Mitchell Larkin claims gold in men’s 200m backstroke

The second final heat has ended a few moments ago at the 16th FINA World Championships in Kazan. Eight best swimmers of the world fought for medals in the men’s 200m backstroke event.

Australia’s Mitchell Larkin was first to touch the wall with a time of 1:53.58. He was followed across the finish line by Polish swimmer Radoslav Kawecki who stopped the watch at 1:54.55. Evgeny Rylov of Russia finished in third place to complete the podium with 1:54.60.
