Fu Yuanhui earns world crown in women’s 50m backstroke final

The fourth final heat has just concluded at the 16th FINA World Championships in Kazan. Eight best swimmers of the world fought for top spots on the podium in the women’s 50m backstroke event.
China’s Fu Yuanhui took the world title after finishing the race with the best time (27.11). Silver went to Etiene Medeiros of Brazil who touched the wall at 27.26. Another Chinese swimmer, Liu Xiang, clocked 27.58 to round out the podium in third place.
