On the fourteenth day of the 16th FINA World Championships, competitions in two disciplines will be held: swimming and water polo. The world's best swimmers will contend for 5 sets of medals.

Traditionally, at around 18:00 the Kazan Arena Stadium will host the first final race – the men's 200m individual medley event.

Another set of medals will be contested by men in the 100m freestyle event. By the way, one of the favourites in this race, Vladimir Morozov of Russia, came first in the semifinal the day before, but was disqualified for a false start. 

The next final will reveal the world's three best swimmers in the women's 200m butterfly event.

Two more gold medals will be up for grabs in the women's 50m backstroke and 4x200 freestyle relay events.

The Water Polo Arena will open its doors at 10:50. The first game on the schedule, the match for the 11th and 12th places, will be played between the men's teams of Kazakhstan and the Republic of South Africa. After that, the men's teams from Canada and Brazil will compete for the 9th and 10th places. From 15:30 to 18:05, the classification rounds for the the 5th-8th places will be held, and the final competitions of Day 14 will be the semifinals between Croatia – Greece and Italy – Serbia.
